What to do?
St. Andrews is short distance south of Timaru on State Highway 1 and well worth the stop. With an airport in Timaru and a bus stop across the road from the Hotel you can easily get here in good time and put your feet up.
Recreational Activities
With the Pacific Ocean on the doorstep of the hotel and snow fed rivers throughout the coast you can find plenty of places to throw a line in for a spot of fishing or a relaxing swim.
The hinterlands of South Canterbury are always beautiful and there are plenty of walking tracks or hunting blocks for those you enjoy being out in the fresh air.
Now a village names St. Andrews would not be right without a golf course, pop on in and enjoy a round or two while you’re here!
Timaru
There is plenty to do in South Canterbury’s largest population centre from a visit to the Museum and/or Art Gallery to a stroll through the Timaru Botanic Gardens.
One of the best attractions of Timaru is Caroline Bay, a popular beach with plenty to do. The Caroline Bay Carnival is jam packed with rides and activities towards the end of Dec and continues into January.
